Cyber Security Engineer

As a Cyber Security Engineer for Socura, you will lead the deployment, configuration, and support of our solutions, primarily remotely with occasional onsite visits. You will work directly with our customers' teams to provide technical leadership and enablement. In this highly technical, hands-on role, you will develop expert-level skills on the products deployed in our customers' environments. While experience with our specific platforms is desired, we prioritise a solid foundation in scripting, operating systems, networking, and security technologies.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Initial configuration and deployment of Socura security solutions
  • Migration of customers from existing technologies to Socura solutions
  • Provide out-of-hours support when necessary to support cutovers & maintenance
  • Analyse logs from the solution for troubleshooting and issue identification
  • Work with our partner’s technical support teams on support cases
  • Ensure client needs are met and deliverables produced on time according to specified project deliverables and scope
  • Create technical documentation, including diagrams, in support of engagements
Skills, qualifications and experience
  • Experienced in deployment & support of cloud, network, and security technologies
  • Experienced in Python scripting (code creation & debugging)
  • Solid understanding of Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
  • Solid understanding of identity technologies such as Entra ID
  • MSSP/ MDR experience is highly beneficial
  • SOAR deployment & support experience highly beneficial
  • SIEM deployment & support experience highly beneficial
  • Google Cloud and Azure experience is highly beneficial
  • AWS experience beneficial
  • Security Operations experience beneficial
  • Effectively able to handle multiple projects and work calmly under pressure
  • Excellent writer, with strong verbal and social skills
  • Able to communicate concepts clearly with technical and non-technical clients
