As a trusted cyber security partner to the National Health Service, Socura is committed to helping the Health and Social Care sector strengthen its resilience. Signing the NHS Cyber Security Charter is a public affirmation of our support for keeping vital public services—and the wider public —safe.
Securing the Supply Chain
The NHS Cyber Security Charter is a voluntary commitment for technology suppliers to Health and Social Care to follow good information security practices and foster a ‘defend as one’ culture across Health and Social Care.
High-profile cyber incidents affecting Health and Social Care have brought the importance of supply chain security into sharp focus, highlighting the need to do even more to protect critical systems and patient data against ransomware and other threats.
Launched following an open letter by Mike Fell (Director of Cyber Operations, NHS England), Vin Diwakar (National Director of Transformation, NHS England), and Phil Huggins (National CISO, DHSC), the Charter reinforces the need for collective defence. This approach is integral to the Cyber Security Strategy for Health and Social Care: 2023 to 2030.
Our commitment
By signing the NHS Cyber Security Charter, Socura pledges to abide by robust security practices to protect the NHS and its supply chains. These practices include continuous patching of core systems, multi-factor authentication, 24/7 network logging and monitoring, and incident response planning.
Socura’s commitment to the Charter builds upon our compliance with the NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT), for which we hold a ‘Standards Exceeded’ rating.
"As a Managed Detection and Response partner to NHS trusts, we know how important it is to continuously strengthen the resilience of the health and social care sector against attacks. This is why we welcome the introduction of the Cyber Security Charter, are committed to upholding it, and stand ready to help the NHS and its suppliers strengthen their resilience, both individually and collectively.”
