Congratulations to Andrew Kays (CEO) and Jamie Brummell (CTO and Founder) of Socura for being named as joint finalists in the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2026 UK programme.
The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2026 programme recognises individuals who are playing a leading role in shaping the UK economy by exhibiting entrepreneurial ambition and innovation. This year’s list features 110 individuals across five regions: London, South, Midlands, North, and Scotland.
Andrew and Jamie’s recognition in the South follows an exceptional period of growth for Socura since its inception in 2019, and highlights their leadership in challenging the status quo to address modern cyber security threats. Notably, Socura was one of the earliest Managed Detection and Response (MDR) providers to be fully cloud-native, operating via a remote security operations centre to attract the best talent from across the UK.

One of the top MDR providers globally
The duo’s approach has also seen Socura become recognised as one of the top 100 managed service providers globally, secure the contract to deliver Wales’ National Security Operations Centre, and partner with industry leaders, including Google Cloud and Palo Alto Networks, to augment human expertise in security operations with AI and automation.
“This year’s regional finalists demonstrate bold leadership, long-term vision, and a clear commitment to building businesses that create value — not only for their customers, but for communities and the wider UK economy. They are truly exceptional leaders and exemplify the strength of the UK’s entrepreneurial talent.” Ally Scott, Entrepreneur Of The Year UK, Co-Partner Lead, EY

All EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2026 regional finalists will be assessed by a panel of independent judges, with 10 entrepreneurs selected to progress to the UK final. The overall winner will be announced at a Celebration Dinner in November, before going on to represent the UK at EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year in 2027.
